Here are the top three stories today in Hoover:

  2. The Hoover High School STEM teams swept this year's statewide competition. Juniors Dev Patel, Lauren Geisler, Eshika Kudaravalli, and Remy Deshane made up the No. 1 team, who ranked in the top 10 nationally and qualified to go to the national competition in Dallas from Jun. 28-29. According to Hoover coach Janet Ort, the national competition will include the top 25 teams in the country. (Hoover Sun)
  3. After more than 20 years, Fuddruckers will be returning to Hoover. Fuddruckers was one of the first restaurants at the Riverchase Galleria after its 1986 opening; however, it closed in 1999 after robbers stabbed the general manager and started a small fire in the dining area and office. The new restaurant will mark the return of the chain to Alabama, opening inside the Riverchase Galleria's food court next to Popeye’s. (AL.com)
