- A Hoover man fell overboard from a Carnival Valor cruise ship. James Michael Grimes, 28 years old, survived the fall by floating and treading water for 20 hours in the Gulf of Mexico. The ship was heading to Cozumel, Mexico for the Thanksgiving holiday. (Original Newsbreak)
