Hoover Mom Is 'Just An Outstanding Mother & Human Being'

HOOVER, AL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Anthony Scillia who nominated Margaret Scillia of Hoover.

What makes your Mom extra special?

Margaret (Peggy) is always there for kids and husband! Whether she's helping her daughter with her family (taking care of her grandson , planting flowers etc at her daughter's home, and other additional items at her home) and helping her son especially when he was renovating a townhouse he bought (i.e. picking up items he needed at Lowes or Home Depot, straightening up house after work was being done etc.). She loves her children and grandson immensely!❤️ She is also very involved at our church know as the “ plant lady” because she takes care of the plants at church and attends group discussions. Just an outstanding mother and human being period.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

Just an outstanding and loving mother that is always there for her children (grandson too) emotionally, mentally, and physically .
