Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:

1. Authorities in nearby Birmingham reported a multi-car crash on Friday due to exhibition driving. The crash resulted in 13 injured people, nine of whom are in critical condition as of Saturday. (WBRC)
2. In light of the multi-car exhibition crash on Friday, a city councilor from nearby Birmingham said that exhibition driving is a serious problem in Alabama. The councilor stated hopes for the Alabama state legislature to pass a bill that would allow authorities to prosecute for exhibition driving. (WVTM13)
3. A man plead guilty to the fatal shooting of a father in nearby Birmingham. The shooting happened in 2019 on Ensley Avenue. Jhakiren Grier, 24, was found guilty of reckless manslaughter in the death of Gewayne Gilbert, 36. (AL.com)
