Here are the top three stories today in Hoover:

  1. Do you recognize this person? According to a news release from the Hoover Police Department, a suspect is wanted for questioning in an unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle case on Aug. 5. The suspect stole a purse, including cash, credit and debit cards, and other identifying information. Shortly after the theft, the victim's credit and debit cards were used in Pelham. Anybody with information is asked to call Hoover PD Detective Todd Henningsen at (205) 444-7534. (Hoover PD)
  2. The City of Hoover and the Hoover Chamber of Commerce are partnering with Sabre Finance to offer an entrepreneurship training course. The 10-session course, called NxLevel, gives entrepreneurs the professional knowledge and management skills they need to start a business and grow an existing business. The course begins on Sep. 14 and runs through Nov. 16 and will take place at Sabre Finance’s Entrepreneurial Training Center, located at 1800 International Park, Suite 215 in Birmingham.   3. Tickets are on sale now for the 2022 Taste of Hoover. This year's event will feature roughly 35 food and beverage establishments, including newcomers Brock’s Gap Brewing Co., FAB Fruit, Steak ‘n Shake, The Joyful Food Co., Teriyaki Madness, and Twin Peaks. The event is scheduled for Oct. 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be found here. (Hoover Sun)
