Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:
- On Monday night, the Hoover Planning and Zoning Commission approved a plan for Veterans Park pickleball and fitness courts. Eight pickleball courts and a fitness court at the park were approved, and the commission also recommended the Hoover City Council approve plans to convert a building along Lorna Road for expansion of the Park Crest event center and approve plans for eight homes inside the International Park office property off Acton Road. City Planner Mac Martin told the zoning board that the courts are planned to go between the sand volleyball courts and the lake on the property. (Hoover Sun)

- Do you know this woman? Authorities are searching for the family of a woman who recently died in hospice care in Hoover. On Jun. 7, 97-year-old Irene Harper Tutten died of natural causes at Aspire Physical Recovery Center in Hoover where she was under the care of Oasis Hospice. However, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has been unable to find her family to notify them. (AL.com)
