- Police are offering a reward for tips in relation to a 2020 murder in town. Anyone with information will be offered up to $5,000 for information related to the shooting of 41-year-old Shemethia Tynise Coteat. According to police, Coteat was shot four times from behind on Feb. 14 in the parking lot at Wellington and Wakefield apartments. (WVTM13 Birmingham)
