Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:

  1. UAB's rheumatology care is coming to a clinic in Hoover. Two of UAB's rheumatologists are headed to UAB Medicine Hoover Specialty Care beginning this month, and the doctors are very excited to work with folks in town. Rheumatology focuses primarily on arthritis, but there are dozens of other rheumatic conditions that could be addressed by one of these specialists. Be sure to say hi to Adam Taylor, M.D. and Dr. Raj Vachhani, M.D. if you see them around town. (University of Alabama at Birmingham)
  2. In the market for a new house? Patch found out about two open houses coming up in town. Both open houses are on Sunday, Jul. 24 at 2:00 p.m., so you'll have to decide for yourself which to attend. The first property is a 3,169-square-foot home with four beds and three baths being listed at $679,900. The second is 5,017 square feet, with six beds and four-and-a-half baths at $850,000.   3. Looking for a job? Jefferson State's Child Development Program is looking for applicants! It is holding a career fair on Saturday, Jul. 23 for current students as well as others qualified for listed positions. The fair will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Judy M. Merritt Building.
