- Saturday's rain canceled several World Games events, including Saturday softball. According to AL.com, the Saturday evening softball games were canceled in order to maintain the schedule through Wednesday. A Lupe Fiasco concert was pushed back to Sunday evening.(AL.com)
- Betty Johnson, 93, passed on Friday. Her visitation and funeral will take place on Tuesday at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. She is survived by her daughter and son, as well as two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. Betty was named the Best High School Cheerleader in Alabama during her senior year of high school.
