Troy's Marching Band Welcomes Hoover Residents As New Members

TROY, AL — As Troy University's "Sound of the South" marching band takes the field this football season, Hoover residents might see some familiar faces, as a pair of new band members hail from Hoover.

The university announced the band's new members recently, which includes multiple Birmingham-area residents:

  • Kinneret Fox of Hoover
  • Colby Koss of Hoover
  • Noah Hallman of Trussville
  • De'Shaun Cottrell, Jr. of Homewood

The band, now boasting more than 300 members on a regular basis, has enjoyed success in performing at hundreds of marching band competitions and dozens of different college and professional football venues.
