- On Monday night, police say a man was murdered and an officer was wounded in a gun battle in West Mobile. Police responded to a shooting report in the 800 block of Bryant Street at around 6:45 p.m. and found 31-year-old Matthew Richardson suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was later pronounced deceased by Mobile County EMS.
