He alleges months without heat, air conditioning, or working appliances. Federal housing officials could investigate, and his attorney says the goal is simply a safe, livable apartment that meets the lease terms.

Judge orders prosecutors to disclose identities of confidential informants in Mobile murder case (fox10tv.com) — A Mobile County judge has ordered prosecutors to reveal any confidential informants’ identities to the defense in a high-profile Mobile murder case, 14 days before trial. The ruling comes as the defendant, previously acquitted on a drug charge, seeks to have bond set after serving time on a probation revocation.
   

3. Grammy Award-winning rock legends announce 6-show tour for 2026 (masslive.com) — Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo are kicking off a six-show 2026 tour with a Jan. 26 performance in Mobile, giving local fans first crack at seeing the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers. The duo, known for hits like “Love Is a Battlefield,” continue their long-running partnership onstage and in humanitarian work, with tickets available through Benatar’s website.
   

4. Mobile and Brewton child advocacy centers score funding boost (wkrg.com) — Federal grant money is headed to the Family Counseling Center of Mobile to expand emotional support and legal help for abused and neglected children in Mobile County. Another child advocacy center in Brewton will also receive funding, strengthening services for young victims across several nearby counties.
