  1. This weekend, hundreds of local families lined up outside of Hancock-Whitney Stadium to receive food for Thanksgiving from Feeding the Gulf Coast and the Senior Bowl. Some people were in line for over six hours before food distribution began. Many of the families waiting in line blame inflation, citing higher food costs this year. More food giveaways can be found here. (WKRG News 5)
  2. The City of Mobile hosted its first-ever STEM festival this weekend at the Mobile Civic Center Expo Hall. There were over 40 STEM-related events for students of all ages to explore and discover. For those interested who missed out on the event, organizers say they will be back again next month. (Fox 10 News)
  3. Mobile residents should be aware the Thanksgiving holiday will affect garbage collection, according to the municipality. Garbage will not be collected on Thursday. The makeup day will be on Saturday, Nov. 26. Yard debris will not be collected on Thanksgiving either, and there will be no makeup day for this. (Fox 10 News)
