The man, 22-year-old Joshua Thomas, died from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The girl, whose age has not been released, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The crisis center allows voluntary, short-term patients to stay a maximum of 23 hours, and long-term patients can stay for a maximum of seven days.
