Here are the top three stories in Montgomery today:

  1. Montgomery police are investigating four shootings that occurred over the weekend. From late Friday night through Saturday early morning, three men sustained non-life-threatening injuries from three separate shootings. On early Sunday morning, a woman was taken to a local hospital after she sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound on the 600 block of Upchurch Circle. (Subscription: Montgomery Advertiser)
  2. On Monday, Apr. 10, Police Maj. Saba Coleman identified the victim of the Apr. 7 fatal shooting. Michael Jordan, 45, of Montgomery was shot in the 200 block of Canna Drive and transported to the local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Montgomery police are continuing the homicide investigation. (AL.com)
  3. LEAD Academy, a Montgomery charter school, is waiting for the state's highest court to decide if Crave Cafeteria Services or the charter school will owe the government nearly $2 million. Allegedly, either the school or Crave has been inflating the number of school lunches served in order to get more reimbursements from the government.
