Here are the top three stories in Montgomery today:
- The Montgomery Police Department is investigating a murder-suicide that occurred in the 2400 block of Price Street around 1:15 a.m. on May 19. Investigators found a woman fatally shot at the scene and later discovered the suspect had fled to Hayneville before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The names of the victim and the suspect have not been released as of May 19. (WSFA)
- On May 19, 22-year-old Adrianna Murphy was arrested for allegedly hitting her boyfriend with a vehicle. On Saturday, May 6, Murphy allegedly got into an argument with her boyfriend, Wesley Saffold, near Saffold's home in the area of Geary Court in Montgomery. Wesley suffered a subdural hematoma, cerebral edema, and a laceration to his left eye as well as road rash. Murphy has been charged with first-degree assault. (WSFA)
- Work was halted on a new bridge across the Intercoastal Waterway in Baldwin County after Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Jimmy Pool ruled the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) commissioner had negotiated the project in bad faith. ALDOT will be appealing the decision and said it "strongly disagreed" with the court's finding. (AL Reporter)

- On Thursday, May 18, there was a fatal accident on I-85 northbound in Montgomery. According to Montgomery police, witnesses reported that a pedestrian was hit by an 18-wheeler at 3:45 a.m. near Eastern Boulevard. (WSFA)
