Here are the top three stories today in Montgomery:
- The Montgomery Police Department is investigating a shooting incident here in Montgomery that injured a juvenile on Saturday night, Mar. 11, in the 3000 block of Atlanta Highway. Officials said that the juvenile victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (WSFA)
- Montgomery police arrested and charged 28-year-old Roderick Owens Jr. with capital murder in connection to the death of 31-year-old McArthur Washington III. On Sunday, Mar. 12, Washington was declared dead at the scene due to gunshot wounds on the 4200 block of Hartford Street. (Montgomery Advertiser)
- Riley Tate Wilson, a 15-year-old Montgomery native, shocked the judges of NBC’s “The Voice” when he performed Robyn’s “Dancing on My Own.” All four judges turned their chairs by the end of Wilson's performance. Wilson joins fellow Montgomery resident D. Smooth, who was selected to be on Clarkson’s team last week. (WSFA)
