1 Dead, 1 Injured In Jefferson County Wreck
A wreck in west Jefferson County Sunday night claimed one life, and resulted in the hospitalization of another victim.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL β A man is dead and another hospitalized after a wreck in west Jefferson County Sunday night. The wreck occurred just before 10 p.m. in the 1700 block of Alliance Road near Bessemer.
The truck was occupied by two men, according to Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. The 47 year-old passenger was transported to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The 57 year-old driver was pronounced dead on the scene by medical personnel.
Money said the truck left the roadway and struck a group of trees, and investigators believe that the driver may have suffered some type of medical emergency.
