Construction Worker Killed In Workplace Accident In Pinson

PINSON, AL — A 42-year-old man died Thursday morning at a construction site in the Innsbrook subdivision of Pinson. The incident occurred just before 7 a.m.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene and found that the supports of a concrete truck with a boom extension sunk into the mud, causing the extension to swing around and strike a worker at the scene.

The construction worker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s detectives are conducting a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this accident.
