Meet A Future Leader In Trussville: Jones Preg
Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Trussville is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Jones Preg, who are making a positive impact in and around Trussville.
Jones is a 2023 graduate of Hewitt-Trussville High School who has excelled as both an academic and artistic leader. As a National Merit Finalist, Jones was recognized among the top 1 percent of students nationwide for his outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT and maintaining an impressive 4.4 GPA while tackling a rigorous schedule of Advanced Placement courses.
His commitment to excellence extended beyond the classroom through his active involvement as Drum Major for the HTHS Marching Husky Band, Principal Clarinet in the Alabama Symphony Youth Orchestra, Secretary of the Math Honorary Society, and member of the National Honor Society.

Jones attributed his achievements to the support of his community.
“I’m so grateful to God for giving me this opportunity, and I truly would not have made it to this point without constant encouragement from amazing teachers, counselors, parents, and friends,” he said in an article about his achievements in the Trussville Tribune.

Now a sophomore at Auburn University, Jones is pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering while continuing his passion for music as a clarinetist in the university's marching bands. His multifaceted talents and determination position him as a leader poised to make a lasting impact in both STEM and the arts.
