Some big news on the high school football front came in this afternoon, as Pinson Valley's football coach, Sam Shade, is leaving the program to take the head coaching job at Miles College. Also in the news, the Jefferson County Department of Health is opening a new testing site in Center Point. Read more about it below.

- Pinson Valley's Sam Shade has been named the new head football coach at Miles College. Shade led the Indains to a state title and was also named Class 6A Coach of the YEar in 2020. (Trussville Patch)
