2025 Visit Tuscaloosa Junior Championship Kicks Off At Indian Hills Country Club

The event officially teed off Sunday with a competitive qualifier at The Dells Golf Club in Northport

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) has returned to Tuscaloosa this week for the 2025 Visit Tuscaloosa Junior Championship, with tournament play beginning Tuesday and lasting through Thursday at Indian Hills Country Club.

The event officially teed off Sunday with a competitive qualifier at The Dells Golf Club in Northport, where more than 60 players vied for a place in the main field.

Local sponsors and supporters on Monday also participated in the Junior-Am Fundraiser, a tournament week tradition that raised $16,500 for the Saban Center.

Along with last year’s efforts, the tournament has generated $33,500 for the project over the past two years.

In addition to elite junior golf, players and their families will enjoy a private Tuesday night reception at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium, with the exclusive event including stadium tours and access to the South Zone.

“Visit Tuscaloosa is proud to once again partner with the American Junior Golf Association to host the 2025 Visit Tuscaloosa Junior Championship,” said Robins Bonner, senior sport sales and event development manager for Visit Tuscaloosa. “We’re excited to keep growing our relationship with the AJGA and to welcome some of the best junior golfers from around the nation to our community.”

“The AJGA is truly grateful to return to Tuscaloosa for the Visit Tuscaloosa Junior Championship at the beautiful Indian Hills Country Club,” Wehrman said. “We’re honored to once again showcase the next generation of elite junior golfers at such a premier venue.”

Tuscaloosa native and Tuscaloosa Academy standout Anna Christian Beeker earned her first AJGA title in a one-hole playoff during last year's event.
