Alabama Baseball To Play In Jax College Baseball Classic​

The Alabama baseball team on Tuesday announced it will participate in a three-day round-robin tournament starting Feb. 21.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama baseball team on Tuesday announced it will participate in a three-day round-robin tournament starting Feb. 21 at Financial Ballpark in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Crimson Tide will compete second annual Jax College Baseball Classic against Coastal Carolina, NC State and Ohio State in the tournament hosted at the home of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp — the Miami Marlins' Triple-A affiliate.

Second-year coach Rob Vaughn and Alabama opens the tournament with a matchup against Coastal Carolina on Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. central time.

The Chanticleers finished last season with a 36-25 record and advanced to the Clemson Regional Final. This will be only the second meeting between the teams after they last faced each other in 2008.

The Tide will take on NC State at 3 p.m. on Feb. 22.

The Wolfpack had a successful 2023 season with a 38-23 record and reached the College World Series.

The tournament concludes for Alabama with a game against Ohio State on Feb. 23 at 11 a.m., marking the first meeting between the Crimson Tide and Ohio State since 1991.

Tickets for the tournament are available for purchase on a day-by-day basis, offering both reserved and general admission seating options.

Saturday, Feb. 22

Coastal Carolina vs. Ohio State – 11 a.m.

Sunday, Feb. 23

Ohio State vs. Alabama – 11 a.m.

NC State vs. Coastal Carolina – 3 p.m.
