Walker County Man Killed In Overnight Crash Near Northport
ALEA says a Walker County man is dead after a crash early Friday morning on Alabama Highway 69.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says a Walker County man is dead after a crash early Friday morning on Alabama Highway 69.

ALEA said the single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 12 a.m. Friday when the 2003 Nissan Frontier driven by 49-year-old Thomas E. Stanton of Quinton left the roadway and struck a tree.

Investigators found that Stanton was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and he was pronounced dead at the scene in Tuscaloosa County, roughly seven miles north of Northport
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
