Winning the match in five sets at Foster Auditorium, the Crimson Tide (10-7, 2-4 SEC) first trailed after three sets but rallied to for a 26-24 victory in the fourth set, forcing a decisive fifth set.

"I’m incredibly proud of this team," head coach Rashinda Reed said. "We’ve been working on finishing matches these last two practices. They really put their heart and soul into it, and it paid off. The atmosphere in Foster Auditorium was incredible tonight. It took all of us to win that one."
Alabama jumped out to an 8-4 lead at the halfway point of the final set, but the Tigers (14-3, 4-2 SEC) managed to tie the score at 13-13.

The Crimson Tide then reached set point twice before Natalie Repetti delivered a service ace to clinch the match 16-14.
This win represents Alabama's first win over a top-25 opponent since defeating then-No. 19 Texas A&M on Sept. 23, 2016.
The victory also ended an eight-match winning streak for Auburn in the all-time series, giving Alabama its first win over the Tigers since 2019 and its first at home since 2018.
Senior setter Kayla Keshock also made history by recording her 3,000th career assist on her way to finishing the night with 26 assists.
Four Alabama players reached double-digit kills in the win, led by Sophie Agee and Chaise Campbell, who each logged 15.
Paris Thompson also added 11 kills, while Jordyn Towns contributed 10.
Callie Kieffer had a big night, too, with a double-double, tallying 22 assists and 17 digs for her third of the season, including a previous matchup against Auburn on Sept. 29.
Alabama will return to action at home on Saturday, Oct. 20, for the Power of Pink Match against No. 15 Kentucky.
