Alabama's Jalen Milroe, Ryan Williams Earn SEC Weekly Honors
Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe and freshman receiver Ryan Williams both earned SEC weekly honors on Monday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Two Crimson Tide standouts took home weekly awards from the Southeastern Conference on Monday after Alabama's conference-opening 41-34 win over Georgia on Saturday.

Junior quarterback Jalen Milroe was awarded SEC Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman receiver Ryan Williams was named SEC Freshman of the Week.

Milroe led the way for the Crimson Tide offense, going 27-for-33 through the air for 374 yards and two scores, while also leading the team on the ground with 117 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns.
As SEC Network and syndicated radio personality Cole Cubelic pointed out following the game, Milroe because the first player in AP Poll history with 300 yards passing, 100 yards rushing and two rushing touchdowns against a top-5 opponent.

Williams, a 17-year-old from Saraland, added to his already eye-popping stats by logging his first true signature game at Alabama, snagging six catches for 177 yards and a touchdown.
The Crimson Tide (5-0, 1-0 SEC) will return to action next Saturday when Alabama goes on the road against Vanderbilt.
Kickoff is set for 3:15 p.m. local time and SEC Network will carry the broadcast.
