ALDOT To Begin Interstate Maintenance Work Near Exit 100 Sunday

ALDOT announced Thursday that it plans to perform roadway maintenance on a portion of Interstate 20/59 near Exit 100.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) announced on Thursday that it plans to perform roadway maintenance on a portion of Interstate 20/59 near Exit 100.

The nighttime project will be aimed at improving safety and mobility, with work set to begin Sunday, May 7. Work on the improvements is expected to last approximately 10 days,
weather permitting.

ALDOT explained its maintenance crew is only allowed to close lanes between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. to reduce the impact on traffic.

The Exit 100 entrance and exit ramps will remain open through the road project.
