ALDOT To Begin Roadwork At Busy Northport Intersection Wednesday

NORTHPORT, AL — The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) on Tuesday announced plans to perform construction work at the intersection of US Highway 82 and Alabama Highway 69 in Northport.

ALDOT says the intersection will have overnight work Wednesday, Nov. 20 through Wednesday, Nov. 27, which will limit traffic from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.

US Highway 82 eastbound and westbound will have a single through-traffic lane with no left turns, ALDOT said, while Alabama Highway 69 northbound and southbound will be right-turn only.

Motorists are told to expect delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
