ALDOT To Host Public Meeting For Cottondale Road Project
ALDOT on Wednesday announced it will host a come-and-go style public meeting to discuss a potential project along State Route 215.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) on Wednesday announced it will host a come-and-go style public meeting to discuss a potential project along State Route 215 — University Boulevard — in Cottondale.

The meeting is set for Tuesday, March 18 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Church of Judah International, which will provide the public the opportunity to ask questions and view exhibits regarding the project.

ALDOT says the project aims to improve traffic flow and safety at the intersections of University Boulevard, Buttermilk Road and U.S. Highway 11. Estimates show that 16,000 vehicles use this stretch daily
Officials plan to construct a signalized standard T-intersection, reconfigure Buttermilk Road and modify lane configurations to enhance efficiency and connectivity by managing roadway access.

ALDOT said this work may include modifications to driveways, intersections, turn lanes and medians by balancing efficient traffic movement with safe access to adjacent businesses and side streets.
