An Aliceville man is dead following a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night in Pickens County.

CARROLLTON, AL — An Aliceville man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in Pickens County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says 61-year-old Ricky D. Rice was driving a 2006 Toyota Tundra when the vehicle overturned and left the roadway around 9:28 p.m. on Franconia Road.

ALEA said the fatal crash occurred near Mount Calvary Road, approximately two miles south of Carrollton city limits in Pickens County.
Investigators went on to say that Rice was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
