He was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment for multiple stab wounds and cuts. The victim told witnesses and medical staff that he had allowed Sillero to use his shower before the assault occurred.

Sillero declined to speak with investigators about the incident.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit also responded to the scene, where investigators found the victim’s bedroom and front porch both covered in blood.

Work-style shears with blood on them were also found on the front porch, in addition to a box cutter-style knife with what appeared to be blood on the blade that recovered from Sillero.

Investigators also noted a bite mark on Sillero’s right upper arm.

Sillero was subsequently charged with attempted murder and booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail.

He remains behind bars as of the publication of this story, with his bond set at $75,000.
