Big Moves Confirmed For Tuscaloosa County Schools; New Football Regions Revealed

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) on Monday released its school reclassifications for 2024-2026, with several big moves for a few schools in the Tuscaloosa Patch coverage area.

The biggest change will see Hillcrest High School become the county's second 7A school, which will reignite the school's longstanding rivalry with Tuscaloosa County High.

Additionally, Northside High School and Sipsey Valley High School will both make the move up to AHSAA Class 5A.
