TUSCALOOSA, AL — Our friends at the Boozy Spirits podcast were recently joined by two other Friends of Patch when Session Cocktails owner Hunter Wiggins and General Manager Qadeem Hassan visited the studio to discuss all of the exciting things they're doing in downtown Tuscaloosa.

Session Cocktails, located at 2221 University Boulevard in downtown Tuscaloosa, prides itself on pre-Prohibition and modern classic cocktails — all while putting a special emphasis on providing a peerless atmosphere. Apart from its home base of Tuscaloosa, Session also opened a location in Auburn roughly a year ago.

As Patch has previously reported, Session is conscious of the role it occupies in the community and is actively involved in charity endeavors like its "Cocktail for a Cause" — a monthly offering on its menu that sees part of the proceeds from each sale given to local nonprofits like Habitat for Humanity, the Hank Poore Foundation, the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra and others.

During the interview, the two popular mixologists discuss the nuances of the cocktail bar business, while also providing insight into their unique approach to slinging some of the fanciest drinks in town.
