Central Principal To Deliver Keynote At Boys & Girls Clubs Career Workshop For Teens

Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama on Tuesday announced plans to host its "Driven for Success" career workshop on Saturday, Jan. 27.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama on Tuesday announced plans to host its “Driven for Success” career workshop on Saturday, Jan. 27.

The workshop is free and will focus on opportunities available for teens ages 13-17 through the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama. It will also be open to the community.

“We believe all local teens have the potential to build a great future if they have the knowledge
and tools needed to overcome obstacles to success,” Boys & Girls Clubs Director of Operations William Walker said. “We want to provide every opportunity to the youth in our area to understand the paths available to them and inspire them to dream big.”

Central High School Principal Teresha Jones will serve as the keynote speaker.

Jones has worked in education for almost two decades, serving as a basketball coach, a middle
and high school English teacher, a college English instructor, a curriculum specialist and an
assistant principal before becoming the principal at her alma mater.
