Boys & Girls Clubs Of West Alabama Nets $40K Grant From Taco Bell Foundation

TUSCALOOSA, AL β Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama (BGCWA) on Wednesday announced it had received a $40,000 grant from the Taco Bell Foundation that will go toward funding mentoring, career exploration opportunities and other programs for the nonprofit.

βItβs a privilege to partner with the Taco Bell Foundation in educating and inspiring young people nationwide,β BGCWA President and CEO Kim Turner said. βTogether, we are working to break down barriers to education for future leaders and provide children the tools they need for lifelong success.β

Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama says it is one of more than 450+ youth-serving organizations that will receive a portion of the nearly $23 million in community grants presented by the Taco Bell Foundation this year.
The nonprofit says the grants are an example of the Taco Bell Foundationβs mission to break down barriers to education and fuel young peopleβs boldest ambitions.

βOur Community Grants program is unique, because the funds are dispersed back to organizations in the local community they are raised in,β Taco Bell Foundation Chair Neil Borkan said. βWe are so thankful for the generosity of our partners, customers and Taco Bell team members that make it possible for us to continue serving youth across the country.β
