Brookwood Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash On Lock 17 Road
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has identified a Brookwood man who was killed Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has identified a Brookwood man who was killed Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash.

ALEA says the fatal crash occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. Thursday when a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac driven by Michael J. Wilder, 41, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Wilder was pronounced dead at the scene, which was on Lock 17 Road and roughly two miles south of the Jefferson County line.
The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation and no other details have been released at this time.
