TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon involving a commercial truck has prompted the closure of eastbound lanes on U.S. Highway 82 in Tuscaloosa County.

ALEA says the accident occurred around 1:23 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, near the 37-mile marker.

The eastbound lanes are currently blocked and will remain closed for an undetermined period as authorities work to clear the scene.

Troopers from ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are investigating the incident and no details have been given regarding potential injuries.
