A Cottondale woman has died from her injuries after a motorcycle crash Friday evening, four miles south of Tuscaloosa on Interstate 59.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Cottondale woman has died from her injuries after a motorcycle crash Friday evening, four miles south of Tuscaloosa on Interstate 59.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the crash occurred at approximately 6:05 p.m. Friday when a 2019 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle driven by 47-year-old Alisa M. Lamay left the roadway and struck a guardrail.

ALEA said Lamay was airlifted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
