Crimson Tide's Gabby Gladieux​ Earns SEC Weekly Honors

TUSCALOOSA, AL — University of Alabama gymnast Gabby Gladieux on Tuesday was named Southeastern Conference Specialist of the Week for her performance at the Super 16 Gymnastics Championships in Las Vegas.

At the event, Gladieux, a sophomore from Greensboro, North Carolina, tied for the nation's highest individual score to finish first on the floor with a career-high 9.975.

The honor marks the second time she has received conference honors after winning SEC Freshman of the Week last year.

Gladieux was also the only gymnast to earn at least one 10 on a routine in a session with No. 5 UCLA, No. 7 Cal and No. 17 Auburn.

No. 4 Alabama gymnastics will return to action Friday night when No. 3 Missouri visits Coleman Coliseum at 6 p.m.

The matchup will be broadcast on SEC Network.
