TUSCALOOSA, AL — DCH Health System has named David Herman, a longtime healthcare finance executive, as its new vice president of finance.

Herman, who will begin Oct. 13, brings more than three decades of experience in financial strategy, revenue cycle operations and performance improvement for complex health systems.

DCH says Herman holds an MBA in finance with distinction from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University.

He is also a certified public accountant and an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

DCH officials said Herman’s expertise in healthcare finance and leadership in revenue cycle and financial strategy will be key as the system works to strengthen its financial foundation.
