Elrod Man Killed In ATV Crash Near Buhl Friday

TUSCALOOSA, AL — An Elrod man is dead following an ATV crash Friday afternoon in Tuscaloosa County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the crash occurred at approximately 3 p.m.. when the Coolster four-wheeler ATV driven by Richard L. Hudson, 60, was struck by a 2009 Ford Escape driven by a Gordo woman.

ALEA says Hudson was not wearing a helmet at the time of crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say the crash occurred on Tuscaloosa County Road 140 near Elrod Road, approximately two miles west of Buhl.

The fatal collision remains under investigation.
