Five Finalists Revealed For Tuscaloosa County School System Superintendent

Here's a quick look at the five finalists vying to become the next superintendent of the Tuscaloosa County School System.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Board of Education has named five finalists for superintendent as it moves forward with selecting a successor for outgoing Tuscaloosa County School System (TCSS) Superintendent Keri Johnson.

  • Lundy Brantley, education consultant and former superintendent of the Neshoba County (Mississippi) School District
  • Daniel Bray, TCSS director of secondary curriculum and instruction
  • Daniel Dickens, principal of Holt High School
  • Jeremy Madden, principal of Northside High School
  • Allison Mays, TCSS assistant superintendent of human resources

Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Nov. 4-5 at the Tuscaloosa County School System Central Office.

The interview sessions will be open to the public, with specific times to be released in the coming days.

As Patch previously reported, Johnson announced her resignation in August to become superintendent of Pelham City Schools.
