Caroline Ford Becomes Tuscaloosa Children's Theatre's First Full-Time Executive Director

​ Tuscaloosa Children's Theatre (TCT) on Tuesday announced that Caroline Ford has been appointed as its new full-time executive director.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Children’s Theatre (TCT) on Tuesday announced that Caroline Ford has been appointed as its new full-time executive director.

TCT says Ford brings a robust skill set encompassing marketing, community engagement, event planning, strategic partnerships, and fundraising.

“Caroline's passion for the arts, coupled with her leadership experience, positions her as a key asset to TCT as we continue to provide educational programs and theatrical experiences for families in Alabama. I am thrilled to have her in this role” TCT Board Member Ryn Miller said.

Ford previously served as executive director of community development for college ministry and UPerk LLC at First Presbyterian Church, where she is credited with spearheading marketing strategies that resulted in enhanced visibility and community engagement.

TCT said Ford is also a qualified business coach and has demonstrated her commitment to driving accountability and achieving goals among teams in corporate settings.

"I am honored and excited to join Tuscaloosa Children’s Theatre as the Executive Director," Ford said. "I believe in the transformative power of the arts and am eager to work collaboratively with the TCT team to advance our mission, engage the community, and ensure a vibrant future for the organization."

TCT also said the appointment marks the first time the nonprofit has had a full-time executive director in its 37-year history.

“I look forward to having Caroline serving TCT in a full-time capacity," TCT Board President Marianne David said. "Having an experienced and dedicated executive director will elevate what we can accomplish as an organization and will enable us to grow in ways we have always dreamed. The TCT Board of Directors welcomes Caroline Ford with open arms and looks forward to working together to bring new heights of success to Tuscaloosa Children’s Theatre.”
