NORTHPORT, AL — Former Northport Mayor Bobby Herndon is offering a way for the community to help out those impacted by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina.

Herndon regularly collects items for victims of natural disasters and says he will be collecting items throughout the week at his office at 2728 Lurleen B. Wallace Boulevard in Northport.

He then said on his Facebook that he plans on making the delivery to North Carolina sometime next week.

  • Personal hygiene items.
  • Feminine hygiene products.
