Former Northside Golf Standout Earns ACCC Honors

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State sophomore and former Northside High School standout Ashlee Allen has been named the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Women's Golfer of the Week.

Allen received the honor after posting a runner-up finish at the Snead State Invitational, where she shot a 76-77.

For her first tournament of the season — the Mustang Invitational at Goose Pond Plantation in Scottsboro — Allen posted a 79-76 to finish 14th as the Lady Bucs placed second in the tournament.

The honor for Allen is the second in as many weeks for the Lady Bucs after sophomore Peyton Maraman earned low medalist honors at the Snead State Invitational, where she carded 73-75.

The team shot 314-311 across the two-day tournament for a combined total score of 625.

Allen is the daughter of Gregg and Kay Allen.

Allen's sisters, Karlee and Erika, are also both standout golfers and the trio won a 4A-5A state championship for Northside High in 2018.
