Former Tide Standout Eddie Lacy Arrested For DUI In Arizona

Former Crimson Tide and NFL running back Eddie Lacy was arrested Monday night in Arizona and charged with driving under the influence.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Former Crimson Tide and NFL running back Eddie Lacy was arrested Monday night in Arizona and charged with driving under the influence.

TMZ and other media outlets reported that Lacy was pulled over in Scottsdale at around 10:40 p.m. after he was seen committing several traffic violations.

A spokesperson for the police department told TMZ that Lacy was booked on four separate DUI charges, including "Extreme DUI," meaning that his blood alcohol content was .20 or higher.

Lacy was also charged with open container in a vehicle.

He was reportedly released from custody early Tuesday morning.

A member of three national championship teams at Alabama under head coach Nick Saban (2009, 2011 and 2012), Lacy was a first-team All-SEC selection in 2012 and was ultimately drafted in the second round by the Green Bay Packers in 2013.

He would go on to play four seasons in Green Bay that started with promise but say his numbers demise as concerns were raised about his weight and work ethic.

Lacy was appeared for the Seattle Seahawks in 2017, appearing in nine games and rushing for just 179 yards and no touchdowns.
