In addition to his prison sentence, a judge ordered Mohr pay more than $13,300 to two individuals after a 14-year-old victim gave police evidence of sexually explicit text messages and photos she received from Mohr.
The teenage victim also told police Mohr inappropriately touched her.
Upon his release, Mohr will also have to register as a sex offender.
Originally from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Mohr went on to standout career at the University of Alabama before being selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 9th round of the 1997 MLB Draft.
Mohr made it to the big leagues with the Minnesota Twins, where he played from 2001 through 2003, before logging time with the San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies, Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Devil Rays before retiring after the 2007 season.
The news report from Fort Wayne, Indiana, says Mohr served as an assistant baseball coach at Northrop High School until 2021.
