Former Tide Standout Shaud Williams Joins Staff At Mississippi State
Mississippi State University football on Monday announced that former Crimson Tide football standout Shaud Williams has joined its staff.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Mississippi State University football on Monday announced that former Crimson Tide football standout Shaud Williams has been named the program's new head strength and conditioning coach for new head coach Jeff Lebby.

The news comes after Williams spent the last six seasons at Oregon as the top assistant strength and conditioning coach.

Before his time with the Ducks, Williams served as assistant strength and conditioning coach at Wisconsin in 2017.
Williams — a native of Andrews, Texas — began his coaching career at his alma mater, Andrews High School, where he worked with the football, men’s basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and women’s basketball teams.

Williams was a two-sport star in baseball and football at Texas Tech and Alabama, but ultimately signed with the NFL's Buffalo Bills in 2004. He would go on to play four years in the league, before also logging time with the Florida Tuskers and Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League.
At the Capstone, Williams was part of a talented running back group for head coach Mike Shula and led the SEC in rushing as a senior in 2003 with 1,367 yards and 14 touchdowns.
As a junior at Alabama, Williams ran for 921 yards and five scores as a junior for the Crimson Tide, averaging 7.1 yards per carry.
Williams holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Alabama.
