On Tuesday, Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said it had been suspected that a fourth suspect was involved.
"In the past year, VCU investigators and the District Attorney’s Office working together reviewed the case along with the Sheriff’s Office Cyber Intel Unit," Kennedy said. "Evidence was developed that corroborated the other suspect being present and involved."
Kennedy then said 23-year-old Quentin Hudson of Demopolis was identified as the potential fourth suspect last week.
He eventually turned himself over to police in Montgomery and is currently being held without bond in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
