TUSCALOOSA, AL — Gianna Paul became Alabama’s all-time leading goal scorer Sunday, netting her 34th career goal in the Crimson Tide’s 3-0 win over Lipscomb.

Paul’s second-half goal pushed her past Libby Probst, who set the program record with 33 goals from 2002-05.

The milestone goal came in the 65th minute when Paul capitalized on a failed clearance by the Bisons (4-3-1).
The victory marked another milestone for Alabama (6-2-1) — its 200th home win in program history.

Maddie Padelski opened the scoring in the eighth minute with her second goal of the season. Larkin Thomason added her third goal of the year in the 55th minute before Paul sealed the match.
Tide head coach Wes Hart praised Paul’s impact after the win.
“ Very happy to see Gianna score her 34th career goal at home in a winning effort," Hart said. "She’s been such an incredible player for us over the years,” Hart said. “I’m glad her name will be in the Bama Soccer history book. She deserves it.”
Alabama soccer returns to Southeastern Conference play Thursday at LSU.
